WRC's New Triple Water Gauge
Here are statistics for San Diego water sources. This data changes daily, so the numbers reflect the current statistics as of the date of this post. Where percentages are posted, they are current values compared to “normal,” i.e., data from previous multiple years. Regarding reservoirs, the percentages are current levels compared to total storage capacity. Rainfall to date is for the “Water Year” (WY) that begins October 1 and ends September 30. The regional cities serviced by the San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA) receive water from both the Sierra snowpack, and the Colorado River basin. For simplicity, the Colorado data is not included. For that data, click here. A big thank you to WRC member Milt Burgess for conceiving the idea to graphically show this important data.
