Water Reliability Coalition

Vision

A local, safe and reliable water supply for the San Diego region.

Mission

The Water Reliability Coalition is a broad-based affiliation created to advance water reuse and other strategies to develop and support safe, reliable, sustainable and cost-effective local water supplies.

History

The Water Reliability Coalition began in 2008 when the Surfrider Foundation, BIOCOM, San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, San Diego Coastkeeper and San Diego County Taxpayers Association came together to address San Diego's water crisis and diminishing water supply.

By combining efforts, the Water Reliability Coalition grew into the diverse and the widely representative group that it is today. Presently, the Water Reliability Coalition consists of a unique blend of 25 local voting members and 10 supporting member agencies who's focus areas include environmental, technical, business and ratepayer advocate groups.

San Diego Coastkeeper and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce head the Coalition with support from the various Coalition members.
