Pure Water Day to Offer Tours, Tastings & More

The public is invited to the second annual Pure Water Day Open House at the North City Water Reclamation Plant on Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The event will feature tours of the facility, where you can learn how the City’s Pure Water Program will produce one-third of San Diego's water supply locally using proven technology to clean recycled water.  You can also try the water, which will be publicly available in 2021, for yourself! 

You can also check out the Kid Zone, which will include an obstacle course, face painting and educational activities. Refreshments, including free hot dogs, snow cones and kettle corn, will also be available. 

The North City Water Reclamation Plant is at 4949 Eastgate Mall, San Diego, Calif., 92121.
